HARRY HUGHES HAPPENINGS

There are many things happening at the show grounds as we start the 2010 show season.  One major change is that the arena has been outfitted with new lights.  There are many people and businesses to be thanked for their assistance with this project.  Board member Al Staler headed up this project and it was completed recently.

    The most important thank you on the arena lights project goes to Tom and Marty the generous donors.  Without people like them we would not be able to make improvements to our wonderful facility.  Thank you Tom and Marty!!! 

  Thank you also goes to the following business and individuals who played major roles in getting this project completed.....Transtar Electric Security & Technology Inc. for the crane truck, Mick Electric, Pride Plumbing-Bill Murray, The Myers Family-Lee, Susie and Amanda, Matt Brown, Todd Jimison, Rick Staler, Denny McCartney and friends, Bob Zeh, Freddie Joseph, and Nick Staler.  The Harry Hughes Board would also like to thank the Friends of Van Buren State Park  for allowing us to bring in the necessary equipment for this project during their weekend trail ride.  THANK YOU!, THANK YOU!, THANK YOU!

Rain nor hail could keep the lighting ceremony from happening......just delayed it a few minutes!

We also recently held our annual clean up day in preparation of the upcoming show season.  A big thank you goes to Lammon Brothers Landscaping for taking the brush and yard clippings that were removed from the fence line along the driveway.  Your generosity is also appreciated.
